SUMMARY:November 2025 Pow Wow
DESCRIPTION:Minutes\n1. Call to Order (6:58pm)\n2. Adoption of Agenda (7:01pm)\n3. Adoption of All Prior Minutes (7:03)\n4. Customs & Traditions\nKim Coleman shared Goldback notes from AZ and FL\, several denominations. \nThey are beautiful! One of the Arizona Goldback features Navajo Code Talkers. \nChief Joseph proposed we adopt Goldbacks as the preferred currency of The URNAC. The motion was seconded\, discussed\, and adopted unanimously. The Chief will share this information on the website and via social media. (7:55pm) \n5. Officer Reports\nBecause the SCC seems to always adjourn before auxiliaries are able to report\, direction was given to the Chief to email members of the SCC with a report of our activities (8:07pm). \nWe held a discussion on SB54 and paths to the ballot (general vs. primary)\, and noted that several County Parties are implementing and utilizing Legislative Collaboration Committees (LCCs) to help “lobby” for Platform Values in specific Bills during the Sessions. (8:10pm) \nTwo new members joined Republican Natives: \n\nNeil Sebring\nChad Bennion\n\nWe thank Wendy Hart\, Lowell Nelson\, Larry Meyers\, Representative Karianne Lisonbee\, and Helen Watts for their active participation via electronic means; as well as all others who attended electronically but did not speak. \n6. Adjourn (8:19pm)\nRepresentative Karianne Lisonbee (participating electronically) and Natalie Levi (participating in person) both moved to adjourn. \nAll business having been completed\, and hearing no objection\, we adjourned at 8:19pm.

SUMMARY:2026 Autumn Pow-Wow & Convention
DESCRIPTION:Minutes\n1. Call to Order: 18:45\n2. Adoption of Agenda: 19:16\n3. Adoption of All Prior Minutes: 19:17\n4. Customs & Traditions: 21:20\n5. Officer Reports: 21:25\nSecretary Bob McEntee reported\nVice-President Bill Olsen\nBill is out of the state an is excused for in-person attendance tonight. He is attending electronically\, but does not have a report this evening. \nChief Joseph Levi\nThe Chief Reported on agenda item 6 (the need to collect birthday and/or Voter ID Number from existing members to be in compliance with UT GOP Bylaws. \nHe commented on the upcoming misnamed UT GOP bylaw proposal to “build relationships with auxiliaries” and detailed that the true disconnect with auxiliaries began with (1) removing their vote from the UT GOP Executive Committee\, (2) adjourning SCC meetings before they are allowed to provide their reports\, and (3) cherry-picking who can and cannot report at the UT GOP Convention (at the last convention\, College Republicans were allowed to report\, and given significant stage time; Republican Natives\, despite telling Emily Brown (in her role as Stage Director) that we were there\, at the state\, ready to report\, but not being acknowledged or allowed to report to the body. \nThe Chief reiterated that the UT GOP has many stated goals and objectives\, only one of which is to “help get ‘republicans’ elected”. Requiring a different set of goals/objectives of auxiliaries not only removes their ability to best realize their stated goals and objectives\, but removes time and resources from being able to do so. When questioned about this\, the Chief stated that all of the Tribal Leadership entities in the state are Socialist. Vocally going against Tribal Leadership and even registering as a ‘republican’ usually gets one shunned from involvement in tribal government and tribal activities. Rather than helping elect any particular person or persons\, our objective is to give a conservative voice to those Natives who otherwise cannot voice their conservatives views\, and to help share the Republican Platform values with Natives\, to help turn the opinion of tribal members. The fact that non-natives in positions of power in the UT GOP do not see this is exactly why auxiliaries exist. \nChief Joseph thanked those assembled for their attendance and support of the years – not only in him\, but in the goals\, objectives\, and traditions of Republican Natives. \nLastly\, Chief Joseph resigned from his position as President of Republican Natives\, effective at the adjournment of this meeting. He stated that he will remain a member both of the organization\, but also as a member of the Republican Buffalo standing committee. Under our bylaws\, the latter allows him to retain his title of “Chief”. Vice-President Bill Olsen will assume the role of President of the organization and will take our seat on the SCC. Chief Joseph sent a text to UT GOP Chairman Rob Axon indicating the same. \nNumerous objections to Chief Joseph’s resignation were noted for the record\, and the Chief thanked them again for their support. He went on to share that he had been friends with Bill Olsen for several years (since before the beginning of the organization)\, has seen Bill’s strategic plan\, and has his full support and endorsement. \n6. Discussion of Required Membership Information\n7. Adjourn: 20:17\nWith no further business\, the meeting was adjourned. \nAttendance\n\nCharles Wood\nAaron Bullen\nPaul Goots\nGary Henderson\nJamie Munns\nJennie Earl\nBrooks Benson\nNeil Sebrbring\nBrent Odenwalder\nNatalie Clawson\nSarah Montes\nPaul Gooch\nNancy Inman\nMarilyn Momney\nWendy Hart\nJamie Munns\nSuzie Leland\nChief Joseph Levi\nNatalie Levi\nNathan Guin\nKerry Guinn\nLyndon Brittner\nJennie Earl\nArnold Gaunt\nSecretary Bob McEntee\nElaine Augustine\nGary Henderson (from WA County)\nMike Carpenter (Utah County tech guy)\nNathan (electronically)\nHelen Watts⁩ (electronically)\nTeena Horlacher (electronically)\nOlivia Dawn (electronically)\nVice-President Bill Olsen (electronically)
